Opening Hours
The lake opens at 8am during the main season (June through October), at 8:30 March through may and in November, and at 9am during the winter months. Closing time is 8pm during the summer, 7pm in May and in September, 6pm in April and October, 5:30pm in March, and 5pm in November and during the winter. The cash deck closes an hour before, bathing time ends half-an-hour before closing time.
Location
Heviz can be accessed on road 71 from Keszthely through Cserszegtomaj, or from road 75 though Also- and Felsopahok. FlyBalaton airport in Sarmellek is only a few minutes’ drive. From the west, the road to Heviz leads through Szombathely and Zalaegerszeg. From the east, from Budapest, it can be reached either through Szekesfehervar, by driving along the northern shore of Lake Balaton after leaving M7, or through Gyor, by turning south on road 84 from M1.
